Taekwondo a Healthy lifestyle
With age, many adults experience a loss of balance which leads to falling accidents and threatens independent living.
A study conducted by the Department of Neurology, showed that a group of volunteers aged 40-71 demonstrated improvement in motor orientation ability, posture and static balance. They practiced only one hour of Taekwon-do per week and in just one year had much success. The Department’s data suggest that age-adapted Taekwondo training improves various aspects of balance control in healthy people over the age of 40.
We at Arts For Fitness teach the art of Taekwon-do as a way to keep all students motivated to stay healthy both physically and mentally at any age. The classes are structured so everyone can have fun, be challenged and gain the confidence needed in today’s world.
